Professional Reviews:
Doody Review Services:
Description: This book attempted to combine Drug Therapy Pocket, Endres et al. (Borm Bruckmeier,
2003) which contains overviews of treatment for common diagnoses, and Drug Pocket: Clinical Reference
Guide, by Russ (Borm Bruckmeier, 2004), which contains drug information such as dosage forms, common
brand names, etc.
Purpose: The purpose is to have a concise pocket reference that contains important drug
information, as well as treatment options and, where applicable, step care for common diseases.
There is also a chapter on oncologic therapies.
Audience: This pocket reference should be useful for any practitioners once they become
accustomed to the format.
Features:
Assessment: The authors had an ambitious goal to provide a lot of information in a small book
necessitating a rather small font type. Nevertheless, many will find it useful as the one
reference of its type covering all subspecialty areas.
